At the Hauraki Repair & Reuse Centre in Paeroa, we're driven by a passion for waste minimisation and sustainability. As a Charitable Trust, we’re committed to reducing, repairing, recycling, and repurposing to benefit our district and beyond.
We're looking for a General Assistant to join our dynamic team for a minimum of 16 hours per week. Our work hours are 9am to 5pm, and this role requires one weekday and one weekend day. You'll be an integral part of our operations, which run from Wednesday to Sunday.

About the Role
This position is versatile, hands-on, and engaging, with key responsibilities such as:
Interacting with the Public: Welcome visitors at our drop-off area and provide excellent service.
Handling Donations: Receive and sort a variety of items, from clothing to building materials.
Displaying and Pricing Products: Organise and prepare items for sale in our center.
Customer Service: Operate sales and assist customers with cash handling.
Outdoor Work: Be ready to work in all weather conditions across our diverse site.
Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will:
Share our passion for reducing waste and sustainability.
Be physically fit to manage tasks like unloading trailers and moving furniture.
Have excellent customer service and cash handling skills.
Be reliable, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator.
Follow Health and Safety protocols with diligence and care.
